Audette is creating actionable carbon reduction plans for every building on the planet.

The world’s economies must transition to zero-carbon. Building infrastructure and operations make up 37% of CO2 emissions worldwide - and half of those are commercial real estate. There is no carbon-free future without carbon-free buildings. This is why we exist, and why we need you.

We apply building science and machine learning to model the most important features that contribute to carbon emissions. Our platform turns data into retrofit strategies that are actionable for commercial real estate investors and market makers to create a zero-carbon future. With our proprietary technology we can expedite decarbonization at the ground level and expand our impact to scale globally.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst who wants to have a meaningful impact on climate change as you solve challenging problems at global scale. Reporting to the Director of Engineering as part of our Engineering Analytics team, you’ll play a vital role in all data initiatives by designing robust data architectures while uncovering valuable data insights for a variety of stakeholders.

You’ll play a pivotal role in building our next generation data platform that will deliver ground-breaking carbon intelligence about the built environment across the entire planet. Working closely with Engineering and Technology teams, you will build intelligent event processing and decision systems to automate capacity, quality, and data value delivery.

You Will:

- Help design and implement the next generation of our data and analytics ecosystem
- Lead data acquisition by integrating disparate data about the built environment via data entry, transformations, analysis, and custom tools
- Assist Engineers to develop scalable, resilient pipelines that extract, analyze, and report on data from multiple sources
- Collect, organize, catalog, and transform data, and act as the bridge that delivers high quality data to our Engineers and top notch intelligence to our customers
- Create and maintain recurring and ad-hoc reporting, supporting the interpretation and troubleshooting of the underlying data, while aiding in design and testing as required

About You

The right person for this role will have a combination of the following:

- Passion for addressing climate change
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or similar
- 2+ years of experience supporting and advising technical teams in an Analyst role
- Exceptional determination to fulfill data needs in a fragmented, emerging market
- Experience extracting viable business data from disparate, unstructured sources
- Confidence using complex queries for relational, dimensional, and graph databases
- Data processing fundamentals using pivot tables, analytics, and dashboards
- A track record of testing and reporting holistic data process viability

Nice to Have:

- Working knowledge or certification in Google Cloud Platform or multi-cloud
- Experience with enterprise data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Coding experience with SQL, Python, R and/or shell scripting

We are committed to hiring dedicated, inquisitive people who are eager to bring our audacious vision to reality. If you're excited about this role but your strengths don’t align exactly with the job description, you are encouraged to apply; we aren’t looking for someone who ticks every item on the list. We seek people who are eager to learn and grow.
